Description / Significance
Sixteen (16) miles of access roads, crane paths and tower pads mostly above elevation 2,700 feet has given Sargent the opportunity to demonstrate the skill and experience that high elevation construction demands.
Environmental and storm water management systems take on new meaning with the short growing season that this country receives. The construction of (44) 3-MW Vestas V-90’s will stand alongside the pristine tree line. Roads and pads had to be built to specified grades to minimize impact to the environment. Over 1,000,000 cubic yards of earth and ledge were moved and processed to allow access for construction equipment and tower components to be delivered to the site.
