Description/Significance
Construction of a new taxiway, one mile long, connecting to 2 other runways at a total of 6 locations, also tying into 3 acres of new apron space.
Project included:
75,000 yards of excavation
90,000 yards of common borrow
55,000 yards of sub-base gravel
9,000 yards of base gravel
Project had to coordinate with the airport manager to schedule any shutdowns a week in advance when working within 150 feet of a runway or taxiway.
